With games starting on Thursday, it’s time to preview the season ahead. We’ll be looking at the top three MIAA divisions with a close eye on the defending champions.
There’s no other place to start than in Division 1 and four-time defending champ St. John’s Prep.
“St. John’s Prep is top dog in D-1 until someone proves otherwise,” Winchester coach Phil Reuland commented in our preseason coaches’ survey.
The Eagles beat Needham in last year’s D-1 final, 17-13, to finish with a record of 21-2.
