CONCORD, N.H. – It was a historic win to cap off a historic season for St. Paul's.
St. Paul's held on to defeat Holderness, 15-14, in the Lakes Region championship game on Saturday evening.
The Pelicans were undefeated in conference play with a perfect 6-0 record and entered the championship game as the No. 1 seed after defeating New Hampton, 18-10, in the semifinals.
"Most of these guys have been with us for a long time," said St. Paul's coach Joe Bernier. "It's a special group on and off the field. They really turned the corner the past few seasons and really started building."
