FOXBORO, Mass. -- Tufts cruised to its second straight NCAA Division 3 title in record-setting fashion at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
The Jumbos’ 25-8 victory over Dickinson was due, in large part, to the NESCAC champions’ trademark intensity and unstoppable offense. It produced a dominance that no title game has ever seen, in any division.
The 25 goals that Tufts scored were a record number for all divisions, and the 17-goal margin of victory was also an NCAA record.
It all added up to a successful title defense.
