High school All-American selections were announced this week by USA Lacrosse. This post looks at the girls from Connecticut, Central Mass. and Western Mass.
All-Americans are players who exhibit superior skills and techniques, and possess exceptional game sense and knowledge. An All-Academic honoree is a player who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills, sportsmanship on the field, and high standards of academic achievement.
Some regions have recognized a Jackie Pitts Award winner and a Coach of the Year. The Jackie Pitts Award recognizes one player from each region who goes “above and beyond” in service to her team, school and community.
Players are listed with class year, position and school.
