DEVENS, Mass. -- The Legacy Tournament has become a touchstone of sorts for tournaments in New England. It is the first stop in what promises to a be a short, but arduous, journey for many parents and players.
The sheer volume of college coaches is higher than any of the other tournaments I go to in the summer, except for Lake Placid … and those coaches are there to play, not recruit.
Still, it holds an important spot for the club teams of the area. It’s hosted by Laxachusetts, and everyone knows that if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.
This year, it was interesting to see which teams put their best foot forward, especially in the ‘26 division, and which teams sent the players who needed competition and exposure.
