Asked to estimate how many pieces of UConn apparel she’s collected over the years, Caroline Cersosimo could only offer, “a ton.”
No surprise there. Not when you grow up in West Hartford, Conn., and have been starring in lacrosse from an early age, right up through your sophomore year at Conard High School.
And not when your mother, Meg, is a former UConn player, assistant coach and head coach, and your family's ties to the university are still strong – and appreciated – a full generation after they began.
“I was super-aware (of UConn) because my mom's been a part of the program for so long and is still a part of the program,” she said.
