Taft head coach Max Rosner lives next to the turf field his team plays on. When he looks out, he sees junior goalie Teddy Oh on the field, leading one of the sophomore goalies in ladder drills, tennis ball drills and clearing.
That work ethic is a big reason why Oh was one of the first players from the Class of 2027 to come off the board when he made his commitment to Harvard earlier this month.
“To see him at a place like Harvard is a really great fit,” Rosner said. “He’s someone who can do the work. He’s someone who understands equal parts this is a four-year decision just as much as a 40-year decision. I’m really excited for him.”
Oh arrived at Taft as a sophomore without reclassing. The team had a postgraduate goalie, John Fisher, ahead of Oh on the depth chart, and Rosner said the coaching staff wanted to give him a season where he could adjust – facing higher levels of shooters, understanding how teams might play a 10-man ride, etc. – while competing for time.
