Last week, in two installments, we unveiled the top 10 teams in our preseason New England prep rankings.
Those top 10 teams seem pretty evident going into the 2026 season. However, there are a host of other teams outside of that ranking that are banging on the door, asking to be let into the party.
Our rankings will be updated and reposted through the season.
Here are five prep teams that are ready to pounce if any of the top 10 programs make an early wrong step. Teams are listed alphabetically.
