In Connecticut high school boys lacrosse, Darien has been in something of a dry spell.
The Blue Wave lost a down-to-the-wire Class LL championship game to Staples last spring, and haven’t won a state title since 2019, which in Darien very much qualifies as a dry spell.
Staples won Class LL for the third time in four years last season, and enters the new season with some question marks.
