Every Middlebury lacrosse season in recent years has had a signature.
This time around, it was defense, resilience and senior attack Caroline Adams.
Adams (Norwich, Vt.) capped her Middlebury career in grand style over Memorial Day weekend in Rochester, N.Y. Her overtime goal was the final difference in her team’s 10-9 win over Tufts in the NCAA Division 3 tournament semifinals on Saturday.
Then, after the Panthers won another grueling game against a NESCAC rival a day later – 8-6 over Wesleyan for their fifth straight NCAA title – she was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
