High school and prep seasons have ended, and the second season of lacrosse is upon us -- the summer recruiting circuit.
It's a bit of a misnomer to just call the summer the recruiting season, since many of the players in question can't commit to schools until Sept. 1. However, that doesn't dull the impact of what a great summer can do for a player's visibility.
Again, my coverage goal for this summer is not to seek out the best and brightest standouts who everyone has already heard of. Although that will happen from time to time, the goal is to find players who might not get all the write-ups.
That doesn't mean just covering A- and B-level teams in lieu of AA teams, but there will be some focus on standouts from all of the players who warrant it.
