Next season could be the last season for Division 4 in MIAA lacrosse after the organization's Tournament Management Committee voted earlier this month to condense some sports from four divisions to three, including lacrosse.
If the move is approved by the board of directors later this year, the change would take effect for the next classification cycle that begins in 2027-28.
The elimination of an entire division that was just created less than five years ago is drastic, to say the least.
