The group stage has concluded at the World Lacrosse Women’s Championship in Tokyo, and several players from New England have been part of the storyline.
In addition to the U.S. team, which cruised into the quarterfinals after going unbeaten in group play, the region is represented – through family connections – on the Haudenosaunee, Ireland, Australia, Canada, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Czechia and Israel.
The 16 qualifying nations were divided into four groups, with the teams finishing first and second in those groups making the quarterfinals, which are being played on Wednesday in Tokyo (later today our time).
