Now that the initial impact of the meteor that is the first week of commitments for the Class of '27 has impacted, it's time to take a closer look at some of the trends, surprises and what the next few weeks -- and waves -- may bring.
If you have been paying attention to the national commitment lists, you might have noticed a dearth of Day 1 commitments. However, as the first week went on, more and more players from the Class of '27 made their pledges, but there weren't that many players from the region -- outside of the early service academy commitments -- who were on the list.
Well, now we're 10 days out from Sept. 1 and a quite pertinent theme emerged.
The Ivy League is not holding back.
