Vermont’s 2024 season was a bit of a reload.
Charlie Pope returned from a knee injury that caused him to miss all of 2023, Brock Haley led the offense in his final year in Burlington, and the pair tied for the league lead in scoring.
But all over the field, there were young players asked to play major roles. Multiple first-year players started on offense and on defense.
Despite that lack of experience in some spots, Vermont played its way to the America East title game, ultimately falling to UAlbany by one goal and missing the NCAA tournament.
