For Liz Carlson, the boundary of the goal circle is just a suggestion.
The senior goalie at Canterbury School is a self-described risk-taker, an athletic player who likes to push the envelope as much as she likes to push the ball up the field after saving it.
“You’ve got to take risks. My game is risk,” she said. “But risk equals reward.”
As she heads into her final season at Canterbury, her longer-term reward is a future at Northwestern, a program she committed to only a few months ago after switching her commitment from Yale.
