Connor Gordon took the head coaching role at Tabor before the 2023 season. For years before that, he was an assistant for the Seawolves, where he had also been the starting goalkeeper for three seasons before graduating in 2012 and going on to play at UMBC.
The roots run deep for Gordon, who has helped the program take a leap into the upper echelon of the Independent School League in his fourth season in charge.
"Being a part of Tabor, being an alum, when I look back, I was in the same shoes as the kids I am now coaching," said Gordon. "When I look back to high school and college, even the youth ranks to some extent, you begin to realize how important certain coaches were to you.
"As I'm coaching this team and building relationships with them, it's hard not to get emotional about it. After the (ISL) championship game, I was having a hard time putting words together. It meant so much to me."
