Marlborough, Mass. -- On a decidedly chilly Saturday in central Massachusetts, nearly 200 players from the 2023 and 2024 classes gathered to play a series of games coached and observed by two dozen college coaches. Though it was the first of a two-day event for several participants, the energy was high. It was a frenzied and competitive affair as the majority of the 2023's were uncommitted college hopefuls playing in front of their prospective college destinations. The offensive talent on display got better and better and the day wore on, as teams began to gel. Several attackmen from both classes stood out among the crowd. These are just some of the best scorers, passers, and playmakers to take the field that day.
Will Emsing, BC High, Norwell, Mass. Kings '23
A hard riding and locked-in attackman, Emsing was dialed in from the first whistle. His most impressive attribute may appear to be his wide and varied dodging ability, but it’s actually his off-ball cutting. A lot of players just move towards the ball at 50-75% speed - Emsing just runs. A tall lefty that could get inside whenever he wanted, Emsing was the best attackman at the event because he was consistent and dependable in every situation.
