When Justin Simon was in high school, his coach, Bob Low, had a motto for his teams: “You lead. We’ll follow.”
It was directed to the senior class every year, relying on those players to develop the culture of the program for the year. It’s something Simon has carried with him ever since, leading to his tenure as the head coach at Holderness.
It was something the Class of 2026 took to heart this season, following a 2025 season that left a bad taste. After two consecutive Lakes Region championships, the Bulls fell just short of a three-peat, losing to St. Paul’s, 15-14, in the tournament final.
The loss was hard to deal with in the moment, but moving forward, it motivated and galvanized the rising class of seniors, including Army commit Trey Neally.
