Longmeadow is no stranger to success in the MIAA, with its 20 state titles proof of that.
But this season, the Lancers’ road to glory in Massachusetts Division 2 may look a bit different.
In its first season competing as an independent, Longmeadow is gearing up to play a gauntlet of top-tier MIAA schools. Head coach Keith Campbell knows that adversity breeds success and toughness for a program.
Last year’s 16-7 season ended with a close, 10-8 loss to eventual D-2 champion Reading Memorial in the state semifinals. Campbell saw positives.
