In the fall of 2022, Loomis Chaffee held a signing day for its seniors who were committed to play at the collegiate level.
The Loomis Chaffee boys lacrosse team — which would post a strong 13-5 season en route to an appearance in the Founders League championship game that spring — boasted four players at the podium: Joost de Koning (Harvard), Anthony Koehler (Brown), Matthew Shepard (Bucknell) and Colin Sim (Marquette).
Sending four players to the Division 1 ranks — especially following an 8-10 campaign the year prior — is a proud accomplishment for any prep program.
But that was four years ago. In 2026, Loomis has quickly become the standard for Division 1 college advancement in the region.
