Expectations were high for the Phillips Andover girls lacrosse team heading into this season.
The Big Blue won 21 games in 2025 and won the Prep Cup championship, toppling defending champion Sacred Heart-Greenwich in the final in the process.
Coach Heidi Wall said that victory was a big moment for the team to prove they should be in the conversation with the best programs in New England. She added that in 2026, the team needed to be ready for every opponents’ best because “we know people will be excited to play us and want to beat us.”
The players haven’t thought too much about those high expectations, however.
