Boys lacrosse in the Independent School League is contested on a few different levels.
At the very top are the teams loaded with scores of future Division 1 players who would love to lift a trophy before they're done here. After that are a number of teams who are contenders to make the eight-team ISL championship tournament at the end of the season -- and hopefully make some noise.
There are also smaller programs measuring progress on a different scale. And those teams kick off our three-part ISL preview.
