LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – I am back with another dispatch from the Adirondacks, but this time we’re looking at another aspect of the tournament. You could call it hidden, but anyone who has been coming here for any amount of time knows it.
There are college coaches all over the place.
But, they’re not here recruiting or taking notes. They’re enjoying the scenery, getting greedy to play on their men’s teams at the end of the week, and subtly seeing who passes their eye tests.
Now, a college coach, especially one of the Division 1 persuasion, has a much different way of sussing out talent than most people.
