In the winter of 2022, Connor Gordon came back home to Bourne, Mass.
The former UMBC goalie was looking for something to do, so he reached out to RJ Swift, the head coach at nearby Tabor Academy, where Gordon had played his high school lacrosse. He asked if Swift needed any help. Swift made Gordon an assistant coach.
It turned out to be right place, right time.
One month into the season, Gordon learned Swift planned to move on from Tabor. Gordon decided to apply for the vacant position and was hired as the head coach the first week of June, immediately after the conclusion of the 2022 season.
