On Tuesday, the MIAA released its first power rankings of the season, one for each of the four divisions of girls lacrosse.
The mathematics that determine those rankings include margin of victory and strength of schedule, and the rankings are used to determine tournament seeding.
Our statewide power rankings are a little more subjective, relying also on head-to-head matchups, program strength and recent history, and the all-important eye test.
