If the MIAA Division 2 playoff bracket looks familiar to you, that’s because it is.
All seven of the teams that have already advanced were also in the quarterfinals last year, including defending champion Longmeadow. Marshfield can make it 8-for-8 if it can beat Westwood in the final round of 16 game on Thursday.
Two of this year’s quarterfinals will be rematches from last year – Hingham vs. Mansfield and Reading Memorial vs. Duxbury, which is also a rematch of the 2023 final.
But our takeaways focus on Walpole, which has enjoyed a strong season and is in the quarters for a fourth straight season.
