Noble and Greenough has won the last four Independent School League titles, and is the only one of the league’s 13 teams that is still unbeaten in league play this season.
But the Bulldogs found themselves in a battle with Rivers on Wednesday, and needed to dig deep to earn an 8-6 win. It's one more sign that parity is on the rise.
“There is so much parity across the ISL,” said Rivers coach Kara Tierney. “You look at the scores and teams are winning by one or two goals.”
As the ISL season passes its midpoint, it’s time to take a closer look at the league’s parity and the teams that can make noise at the end – maybe even against Nobles.
