DEVENS, Mass. – For many girls club lacrosse players in the region, the Northern RISE showcase this weekend was the last chapter in their summer seasons.
Northern RISE – put on by Revolution Lacrosse for nearly two decades – brought together teams from more than a dozen local clubs and others from outside the region. It showcased competitions in eight age divisions.
In the 2027 and 2028 age divisions our coverage focused on, powerhouse Mass Elite was not at the showcase and another strong club – Laxachusetts – did not send its top “Black” teams. Still, teams from Revolution, NH Tomahawks, HGR, Lax Plus, Bay State Bullets, N.E. Storm, Maine Elite, Team CT, Granite State Elite, R.I. Bulldogs, East Coast Rebels and Houlagan were all represented.
This post will look at some storylines and standouts from the ‘27 division. A post on the ‘28 division will appear later this week.
