It was an instant classic.
The Independent School League was never going to end any other way than in an overtime thriller for the championship on Sunday in Belmont, Mass.
Top-seeded Belmont Hill’s second straight ISL title was an exciting, 8-7 victory over sixth-seeded Tabor won by an overtime goal by Lindan Verville that was the perfect cap to both an outstanding season -- and a semifinal/final weekend that produced drama in every game.
While numerous players contributed to both teams’ runs to the championship game, there were a few players who really stood out in the final. These were the top guys from Belmont Hill vs. Tabor.
