When Trish Thompson took over as the head coach at Milton Academy before the 2022 season, she inherited a team of great athletes, but not necessarily lacrosse-first athletes.
“They were ice hockey-first kids and field hockey-first kids,” she said.
That began to change with her first recruiting class.
Now juniors, four of those players – Sara Callahan, Bridget Hunt, Lexi Garrity and McKenna Ruland – all committed to Division 1 college programs since first contact was allowed on Sept. 1.
