Last season, there were five games that St. George’s played that resulted in losses by three goals or fewer. The score differential in those losses was 10 goals, and two of those games – against Thayer and Lawrence Academy – were one-goal losses.
Head coach Charlie Congleton said the biggest lesson his young team learned was how to play in challenging, closely-contested games.
“We didn’t have a lot of seniors that were ‘lacrosse-first’ guys,” he said. “Our guys learned about being a little bit tougher and dealing with those tough moments in games.”
