Tim Sullivan, who guided Belmont Hill to six Independent School League championships in his 17 seasons as head coach, told New England Lacrosse Journal on Thursday that he is stepping down as coach.
Sullivan has been coaching lacrosse at Belmont Hill for the last 18 seasons, all but one of them as the head coach, and was the second-longest tenured coach in the ISL.
He said family was the biggest reason for his decision, citing a desire to watch the developing pursuits of his two young children.
“The time is right to focus on my team at home,” he said in an email.
