Last season, Middlesex reached the ISL championship game before losing to Belmont Hill, 19-6.
New head coach Brian Powers, who took over following the season when his former head coach, Doug Worthen, retired, said that loss has left a sour taste in the mouths of the returning players.
Powers calls the 2025 team is one of the more talented Middlesex teams in recent program history. While the program has come out on top more often than not – winning seven of its first 10 games – Powers said he’s still waiting for his team to put together a full 48-minute strong effort.
Down the stretch, he noted, they’re going to need a complete effort as they take on several heavy hitters from the ISL, including Belmont Hill and Governor’s.
