AMHERST, Mass. — The Midsummer Classic was a little closer to the start of the summer recruiting season than the end. However, it occupied the important post-July 4 space in the calendar.
While the tournament is known for its youth setup, there were a number of clubs fielding strong sides in the ‘26 and ‘27 divisions this year. Teams from 2 Way, Kings, CT Wolves, 4 Leaf, CT Oilers and the R.I. Bulldogs were all present.
The balance of opponents was quite strong, as was the college coach representation -- especially schools in western and central Massachusetts, as well as Connecticut and New York.
The Midsummer Classic posts will be split up by age group and position. Today’s post highlights the standout specialists from the Class of ’26, players listed with position, school and club.
