Winter is over, and we're in the full throes of the first fake spring in New England.
Everyone is still talking about the Class of 2027, and with good reason, since we are entering the third phase of that class’s recruiting cycle. However, a high school player’s journey does not end after his college commitment. In fact, that is when the real work begins.
In the spirit of honoring the seniors as they enter their final season in the MIAA, I’d like to shine a spotlight on players that I have enjoyed watching for the last few years as they enter their final year of high school competition.
The face-off position is an embattled existence. Not just on the field, but conceptually in the game of lacrosse. You're playing the game within the game, and that game is far more complicated than the rock-paper-scissors nature that it is seen by the outside world.
