The Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association started the new year off with a bang.
After holding its annual winter meetings over the weekend, the MCLA, which is home to nearly a dozen conferences and multiple divisions of college club teams across the nation, sent out a press release on Sunday from Atlanta that read, in part:
"The MCLA Board of Directors voted to allow for a fifth year of eligibility for players. A subcommittee will be established that will determine the details of how the new policy will roll out in 2027, and those details will be published in May 2026."
