Bishop Feehan is a program on the rise in MIAA Division 1. A driver behind the team’s recent rise is its suffocating defense.
Last season, Feehan — on its way to a 17-4 season — won its first two state tournament games, including a statement-making 9-1 win over Xaverian in the round of 16. Its season ended one round later with a 10-3 loss to top seed BC High in the quarterfinals.
For coach Tom Sheerin — entering his 23rd year with the Attleboro, Mass., program, dating to its inception, and his sixth year as head coach — the 2025 season not just represented meaningful progression for Feehan, but also avenged a very tough loss to Xaverian earlier in the year.
Individually, it also avenged a tough loss for defender Adam Hertel.
