Ethan Filipski began his junior year as one of the scores of talented players from the region being recruited by colleges.
An all-purpose utility midfielder who can play multiple positions in addition to facing off, Filipski helped Reading Memorial (Mass.) reach the MIAA Division 2 championship game last spring and starred with his N.E. Twisters club team over the summer. He was in demand.
The decision to pursue life in Division 3 came pretty quickly.
“One thing I was looking for was great academics and RPI was perfect for that,” said Filipski. “I knew I wanted to do something in engineering, and I knew their lacrosse program was a top-five program in D-3.
