It was a bit of a slow weekend at the top of the prep ranks, with most of the highly-rated teams taking home easy victories.
However, a few results still raised some eyebrows and will have an impact on league standings -- especially in the Independent School League.
Noble and Greenough's offense won the battle of the weekend by downing two-time defending ISL champion Belmont Hill, 15-14, in a thrilling contest. Milton Academy continued its push into the top echelon of the league with a gutty 14-11 win over a surging Governor's squad.
In the Lakes Region, a few games have further separated the top teams from the rest of the pack -- including an out-of-conference win that made a statement.
