The MIAA season is approaching the halfway point, and teams are starting to assume their final forms. Are they the genuine artifact? Or are they just benefiting from a light early schedule?
There is one new team from Division 1 that enters the ranks this week. However, the story now, as it has been since the first few weeks of the season, is that Division 2 has a ton of excellent teams.
The size of the school isn't as much of an indicator of quality as it has been in years past. There are way more D-2 squads that can hang with their larger brethren patrolling the fields of Massachusetts this spring.
Oh, and the state power rankings are out, which carries some, but not all, of the weight in our ranks this week.
