WORCESTER, Mass. -- The tense philosophical and sometimes physical battle of public schools versus Catholic schools came to a head in the MIAA Division 1 championship on Friday as BC High downed Lincoln-Sudbury, 10-9.
Ten years ago, L-S downed BC High, 10-8, in the MIAA title game. Tonight, the Golden Eagles flipped the script and held off a relentless fourth-quarter comeback with a tense possession that seemed to last far longer than the final 30 seconds of play.
The first MIAA boys lacrosse champion has been crowned in a game that did not disappoint.
