The girls lacrosse summer showcase season started a couple weekends ago, but it doesn’t get more local than this weekend’s IWLCA New England Cup on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at UMass.
Though there are nine age divisions at the event, our focus – to align with our coverage strategy at laxjournal.com – will be on the ‘27 and ‘28 classes, the rising seniors and juniors.
Twenty of the region’s clubs have teams in those two divisions – Laxachusetts, Mass Elite, Bay State Bullets, Granite State Elite, 3D New England, NH Tomahawks, Revolution, Maine Elite, Nor’easter, Storm Club, Gold Star, True Central, Vermont Valkyries, HGR Lacrosse, Lax Plus, True Vermont, Houlagan, Team CT, 4 Leaf and R.I. Bulldogs.
Here is what we’re watching this weekend.
