The most exciting time of the year for lacrosse players in the class of 2028 is almost here.
That's right, on Sept. 9, top prospects around the nation will become eligible to commit to Division 1 lacrosse programs. The date --- normally Sept. 1 --- is new for this year and will mark the opening of the new recruiting window.
We already previewed some of New England's top offensive players who will gain attention on Sept. 9 in a previous story. This time, I took a look at the top defensive players --- defensemen and goalies --- who will be on the radar of college programs throughout the next two weeks.
These 10 players are certainly not the only standouts from the region who have a strong chance of being contacted on or after Sept. 9, but are the prospects I have on my radar as contenders to land commitments.
