KINGSTON, R.I. — This year, the Bulldog Brawl was my first stop on the local summer club circuit for New England Lacrosse Journal.
Several local club teams were competing for the event’s ‘27 and ‘28 championships on the campus of the University of Rhode Island, instead of Bryant, which hosted the younger age groups, in the final weekend of June.
The range of clubs at the AA level was notable, with squads like the Fighting Clams, Penguins, R.I. Bulldogs, Team CT and Eclipse, as well as Coyotes and Cavalry LC.
This year, I thought I would start with the Class of ‘28.
