DEVENS, Mass. — The Legacy Lacrosse Elite Showcase is the largest club team tournament in New England.
Like in years past, there were a lot of Double-A teams to see, which is always exciting. Laxachusetts hosts the event and had two teams in the '28AA group: Laxachusetts Black and Laxachusetts Yellow. Teams like 3D New England, HGR, Stallions, Eclipse, Cavalry, Freight Train and NH Tomahawks all fielded strong '28 teams in an effort to unseat the hosts.
Ultimately, though, it ended in a draw, as the Laxachusetts Black and Yellow teams both made it to the final.
Now, this is a recruiting tournament, and the emphasis is increased as players from the '28 class can commit in the fall, so college coaches were mostly focused on this AA group.
