Sam Cochran was a huge part of Westwood High School’s run to the MIAA Division 2 final four last year and the team’s quarterfinal run this spring.
He graduated as a part of a hugely influential class of Wolverines, and is headed to serve and play lacrosse at the Coast Guard Academy.
Cochran is a step-down artist with the ability to get inside and finish, but he can also dodge, which makes him an offensive threat at all six positions in settled sets.
Recently a NEWMAC power, Coast Guard finished at 5-10 last season. Cochran joins a team that includes an outrageous 20 rising seniors on the roster, but given his ability to flat out score the ball, he will find a role and contribute.
