Since the Independent School League implemented postseason tournaments for the first time in 2022, 12 of the league's 16 programs have qualified for the eight-team championship tournament at least once.
That reflects the depth of the ISL and how even just making the championship tournament is a task. For example, Middlesex, the runner-up in 2024, missed out on the championship tourney in 2025.
Our ISL team previews are split into three parts. In Part 1, we look at the longest shots to challenge in the league, based on factors like depth, committed players and recent history. Teams are listed alphabetically.
