Last season for the Brooks School team was bookended by losing streaks -- a seven-game losing streak to start the season and a four-game losing streak to end it.
Despite the struggles to get into the win column (a 3-13 overall record), head coach Ian Speliotis said the team learned that when it was playing the way it wanted and playing at a high level, it could be not only in games but also be leading them with the capability to “shake things up.”
Because of that, Speliotis said the biggest takeaway was the importance of being consistent.
Unfortunately for Brooks, there won’t be a ton of consistency with this year's team; the team graduated a large portion of its roster, including eight impact players who had big roles. The 2026 squad is going to feature a lot of young talent that will be asked to take on a lot of responsibility.
